clear.gif
</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Beat writer Aaron J. Lopez reports that Nene is "Still having sharp pain in his heel," adding that he believes it's more of a "muscle/tissue strain" than plantar fasciitis. It's too soon to say whether this will end up being a long-term issue, but foot injuries can obviously be problematic and "sharp" lingering pain is a definite concern. Al Harrington and Chris Andersen stand to benefit if Nene sits out again.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Harris suffered a calf strain in Tuesday's game and didn't return. He's seemingly managed to avoid serious injury, but this is a reminder of how fragile he has been throughout his career. Earl Watson will start if Harris misses any time, but doesn't look like anything more than a short-term pickup for owners scraping for assists.

clear.gif
</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>An MRI revealed Randolph has a slight tear of the MCL in his right knee. It's a huge blow to the Grizzlies and fantasy owners alike, and it's way worse than previously believed. He will not require surgery and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. Newly acquired Marreese Speights and Dante Cunningham have some pretty big shoes to fill.

clear.gif
</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>He participated in shootaround and should be out on the floor for Golden State barring any unforeseen circumstances on Wednesday. Owners need to get him back into the lineup following his one-game absence, and Dominic McGuire's appeal gets squashed in Lee's return.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Kleiza is recovering from microfracture surgery and was previously hopeful to return by mid-January. He appears to be on track to meet that timetable, and owners should see what his playing time looks like when he's healthy as the Raptors are starting Rasual Butler at small forward.

<TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD class=bodyCopy>Manu Ginobili (broken hand) will undergo surgery on Thursday and will be sidelined 6-8 weeks.</TD></TR><TR><TD>
clear.gif
</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>He'll get a plate and screws inserted into his hand. Ginobili's timetable had been pegged as 4-6 weeks when the injury occurred, but he's going to be out a bit longer than initially expected. It's a big blow to the Spurs, and his minutes will be distributed among Gary Neal and James Anderson. We like Neal as the pickup over Anderson, as he hit 129 threes at a 41.9 percent clip last year in his rookie season.

clear.gif
</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>As long as Gordon doesn't aggravate the injury this morning, we're tentatively expecting him to play. He's been sidelined since his debut performance for the Hornets and the team (as well as his owners) could certainly use him back out on the court. He had 20 points, four rebounds and three assists in his first game for New Orleans.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>This means Drew Gooden and Carlos Delfino should get plenty of run again tonight. Beno Udrih sounds doubtful with his shoulder injury, but the Bucks will welcome back Darington Hobson, who was recalled from the D-League earlier on Wednesday. As for Bogut and Dunleavy, information is sorely lacking on their situations, so consider them day-to-day for now.
